Neues Möbelstück / A new piece of furniture

Unsere Nachbarin ist immer so eifrig mit dem Aufräumen und hat so erstaunlich viel Energie dafür. Bei uns geht es leider nur langsam. Bei ihren Aktionen fallen immer Sachen für uns ab. Einen schönen alten Schrank haben wir schon bekommen. Diesmal gab's die alte Bank von ihrer Schwiegermutter. Die möchte ich jetzt gerne ins Arbeitszimmer stellen, um dort mal einen gemütlichen Platz zum Lesen zu haben. Was ist dafür zu tun? Bücherregal im Schlafzimmer aufbauen, Bücher aus dem Arbeitszimmer ins Schlafzimmer bringen, Abstellecke im Arbeitszimmer aufräumen, Bank hinstellen. Freuen. (Oh, das wird noch so lange dauern, aber Vorfreude ist ja bekanntlich die schönste Freude.)

Our neighbour is so tidy and has so much energy when in the process of tidying. We always take a lot of time for these things. When she is in action there is alway something for us. Last time she gave a us a beautiful old wardrobe. This time we were given the old bench that once belonged to her mother-in-law. I would like to put it in the study so that there is a nice place for sitting down and reading. What needs doing? Put up the shelves in the master bedroom, carry books from study to bedroom, clean out the wall for the bench, put bench there. Be happy. (Oh, this will take a while, but looking forward is the best form of happiness - as a German proverb says.)
