B e d a n k t - Socken zum Verschenken / Socks to give away

Mein Sohn hatte diese Woche Geburtstag. Er lernt jetzt im 4. Jahr Klarinette und hatte bisher ein Leihinstrument aus der Musikschule. Neulich habe ich die Rechnung mal durchgelesen und war erstaunt über die Leihgebühr für ein Instrument. Schnell mal durchgerechnet, denn die Gebühr steigt auch noch im Laufe der Jahre. Da sich mein Sohn ansonsten nur 2 Sachen zum Geburtstag gewünscht hat, haben wir in der Familie für eine eigene Klarinette gesammelt. Mein Onkel hat einen größeren Betrag zur Verfügung gestellt. Da habe ich ihm als Dankeschön diese Socken gestrickt - für den Lieblingsonkel:

It was my son's birthday this week. He has been learning to play the clarinet for three years now. We borrowed the instrument from the local music school. Looking at the invoice the other day I was surprised to find out how much the fee is for borrowing the clarinet. I did some calculations as the fee rises with time. As my son only asked for two other things for his birthday we raised money for his own clarinet in the family. My uncle gave a larger sum. This is why I made him a pair of socks as a thank you - for my favourite uncle.
