Ostseestrand / Baltic Sea Beach (Making of) Vol. 3

Post 2: Ostseestrand

When I saw the scarf Baltic Sea Beach on these photos I knew that I needed one for myself. After some thoughts about yarn I made my decision. I am a great fan of the sea, most of all the North Sea followed by the Baltic Sea. I really love it if you cannot see land on the horizon and there could be anything in the far. But the most beautiful thing about the sea are the waves, the movement, the sounds, the steadyness with which the waves come to the beach.

This scarf shows how the water is moving towards the beach. Somewhere there is hole which yields the water and moves upwards to reach surface of the sea. Just like on this photo - the water is being pulled and moved and tries to find an upwards movement (that's why the stitches are purled).

Then the water is being pulled in the direction of the beach - can you see the dynamics that is taking over all of the water, how it is distributing and growing to the sides?
